We’re excited to welcome The College of New Jersey as our newest campus partner. With 7,000+ students, they’re changing how wellbeing conversations happen on campus by embedding WellSort's Student Wellbeing Card Sort tool into the TCNJ Cares program and the Student Wellbeing & Health Promotion portfolio. This two-year partnership, funded by the Supporting Students in Recovery Grant, provides TCNJ with resources to launch, refine, and grow the program for long-term impact.
What this means for The College of New Jersey students:
Personalized referrals:
The card sort is now part of the TCNJ Cares student referral process, helping staff have focused conversations and connect students with the right resources from the start.
Individual recovery support:
As part of the grant plan, the tool will be used one-on-one with students to create customized recovery and wellness plans around their own priorities, according to Christopher Freeman, who oversees the grant.
Campus-wide reach:
The Student Wellbeing & Health Promotion team is bringing the card sort into programming across student life, creating multiple, meaningful touchpoints.
Data-driven improvements: Insights from the card sort will guide ongoing program adjustments, ensuring support reflects real student needs - not assumptions.
As Elizabeth Gallus, Associate Dean of Students, put it: “We are excited for our teams to use the wellbeing card sort to help students thoughtfully prioritize their wellness while staying on track towards achieving their academic goals.”
We’re thrilled to team up with The College of New Jersey on this important work!
